Michael Hazy founded Phantom Lacrosse in Austin, TX in 2015. Michael grew up playing lacrosse in Bridgewater, NJ and later played for Lehigh University and for LPLC in Chicago. He was born with severe congenital talipes equinovarus (commonly known as bilateral club feet) and attributes his success in lacrosse to his early desire to learn to string. Spending countless hours at the wall and improving his stringing skills, Michael was able to use his stick to overcome being years behind in -- as he puts it -- "everything involving feet."
While his accomplishments are far less than many players, his proudest achievement was playing on the Silver Medal winning team at the Garden State Games. Michael is a US Lacrosse certified coach and is a Trustee on the board of The Lacrosse Foundation. The Phantom Pocket began as a 3D scan of the traditional pocket Michael played with his whole career.
